JUDGE JASON T. ADAMS is a lifelong Akron resident, a graduate from the Harvey S. Firestone High School, The University of Akron, and The University of Akron School of Law. Judge Adams was admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio in 1989, and the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio and the United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit in 2002.
JUDGE ADAMS began his legal career as an Assistant Summit County Prosecutor from 1989 through 1996 for both the Child Support Enforcement Agency and Civil Division. From 1996 through 2004, Judge Adams was in private practice and a small business owner in Downtown Akron. From 2004 through February, 2017, Judge Adams was a judicial attorney and part-time magistrate (2009 - 2017) for Judge Judy Hunter (now retired) and then for Judge Christine Croce for the Summit County Common Pleas Court. As a judicial attorney and part-time magistrate, Judge Adams handled numerous civil and criminal pretrials, motions, hearings, and trials on behalf of the Court.
JUDGE ADAMS has been active in the local and legal community. Judge Adams is a current parish council member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church; President of Ahepa 63, Inc. (HUD Senior Housing Apartment – Tallmadge, OH); board member of Ahepa National Housing Corp. (92 HUD senior apartment and assisted living complexes in 22 states); and a past board member of the Tarry House Residential Treatment Center and Cascade Locks Park Association. Judge Adams is also involved with the Akron Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and the Ohio Association of Magistrates; and a past volunteer for the Volunteer Legal Services Project.
JUDGE ADAMS is married (wife is a substitute teacher for the Akron City Schools) and they have one daughter who attends the Akron City Schools.
